Sumi Bincho-tan charcoal will work perfectly in a Kasai Konro Charcoal Grill, but is fantastic to be used also be used in place of regular limpwood charcoal in any charcoal BBQ.
Kasai Sumi Bincho Charcoal - 10kg is created from dense hardwoods in the tradition of centuries old production methods making it a favoured choice of cooks around the world, as it will burn at a higher temperature and for longer periods, up to 5 hours burning time, than the ordinary charcoal used in BBQs, plus doesn’t produce any unpleasant odours all making it ideal for sealing in natural flavours. These properties make Sumi Bincho-tan a favourite fuel to use for chefs all arouind the world.
The density of the hardwood used in the Kasai Sumi Bincho Charcoal - 10kg means that the best way to light it is to start by lighting a small amount of charcoal then adding the Sumi Bincho-tan, to light it, which will then burn much longer and at a much higher burn temperature than the usual Lumpwood charcoal. A fire lighter wil not be sufficient due to the density of the wood used. The dense hardwood also means that after two to three hours of grilling it will be more than likely to still have some Bincho left over which can be re-used by simply lifting it out with tongs and submerging the hot coals in cold water for 30 seconds and then drying them for another day.
