How To Clean A Weber BBQ |

Below are a few tips to help you with your own Weber maintenance. In order to clean a Weber charcoal bbq, you will need a wire brush to clean the grill, steel wool to brush off excess soot, a mild dish soap and a sponge or a cloth.
It is important to always wait for all coals to burned out and to ensure that your bbq has cooled down before you start cleaning. Once the Weber has cooled down, you can start by brushing the ash and residue inside the bowl and then taking it out of the bowl. To get rid of residue on the grill, you can simply allow it to burn off while there is still heat from the fire and this proves very effective. Tough residue on the grill can be removed with using a wire brush.
The inside of the bowl and the lid can be cleaned with warm, soapy water but be careful not to use steel wool as this could damage the protective coating.
Gas Weber BBQ's are easy to maintain and the first step in doing this is to start with the grill. Place the grate in position and turn the gas grill on high and wait until no more smoke appears. Tough residue can be scraped off with a wire grill brush. For the body and lid of the grill, soapy warm water will be sufficient to get rid of soap stains and fatty residue.
If your model has Flavorizer bars, simply heat them until the residue turns to ash. I this fails you can give them a light brush with a wire grill brush. It is important to note that oven cleaner should never be used to clean your Weber.
By following these simple tips, you will know how to clean your weber without damaging it. If in doubt you can also refer to your Weber BBQ manual to ensure it stays in great condition.
