At the heart of the barbecue are three patented stainless steel Dual-Tube burners, producing a combined 8.8kW main burner output. Broil King's Linear-Flow valves with 180-degree precision control allow you to fine-tune individual burner temperatures, making it easy to create different heat zones across the grill for searing, roasting and slower indirect cooking.

The Royal 340 Shadow also features a useful 2.7kW side burner, adding another cooking zone alongside the main barbecue. Ideal for preparing sauces, warming side dishes, cooking vegetables or using a suitable pan while the main course cooks on the grill, it provides extra flexibility without requiring a separate outdoor hob.

Across the main grill, Broil King's stainless steel Flav-R-Wave cooking system distributes heat while helping to vaporise cooking juices and reduce flare-ups. Above it sit durable Flav-R-Cast iron cooking grids, providing excellent heat retention for high-temperature grilling and those characteristic barbecue sear marks. With 3,356cm² of total cooking space, including a 2,258cm² primary cooking area, there's plenty of room for preparing a varied menu.

Built around a rugged Therma-Cast aluminium cook box, the Royal 340 Shadow combines durability with contemporary dark styling. Black painted steel drop-down side shelves provide useful preparation space and feature integrated tool hooks, while the enclosed cabinet keeps the lower section looking neat and tidy. A Deluxe Accu-Temp thermometer provides convenient temperature monitoring, and two heavy-duty wheels combined with two locking castors make positioning the barbecue straightforward.
