The 2 main ranges within the Weber gas range are the Spirit and the Genesis. These are the full trolley style models with wheels and castors to make them easy to move around.
There are currently 6 different Weber spirits available in the UK. The range from a 2 burner without side burner to a 3 burner with side burner. All the Spirit models are now manufactured in the far east but this does not have any affect on the quality of the product. In fact these have a 25 year warranty for your peace of mind.
The Weber Genesis models are built in the Weber factory in Illinois, USA. The Genesis range are all 3 burner barbecues, they vary in colour and the 330 models have an extra burner known as a sear station and also a side burner.

Some of the other differences between the Spirit and Genesis ranges are parts like lid handle, on the Genesis models these are all around chrome plated handle fixed directly through the hood and on the Spirits the handle is a heat and weather resistant resin handle braced between the 2 hood endcaps.
The under grill cabinets offer useful storage and its also where the drip trays are hidden away out of sight, the Genesis models have 2 doors on the front whereas the Spirits either have a mesh screen on a single door. The side shelves on all genesis’s are sheet stainless steel which ties in with the detail on the lid and doors.
The Spirit side shelves on the Spirit classic E210 do fold down which is great is storage space is limited.

The important features in any barbecue and the cooking grates and burners, these working parts are key to good cooking and heat distribution. All Weber gas grills have top quality 304 grade stainless steel tuber burners. These are designed in a way that makes the flames consistent across the full length of the burner. This in turn gives an even heat distribution across the cooking grates above. So your food will cook quickly and evenly.
The type of cooking grates vary between each model. The Spirit Classics come with a mild steel grate that has been coated with a porcelain enamel and the Genesis S range have solid stainless steel rod cooking grates.
The Genesis E range come with cast iron cooking grates, cast iron is the best material for conducting and holding heat which give great sear marks to meat and are easier to keep clean than stainless steel.
But on the other hand stainless steel will never rust.
