With the Char-Broil Gas2Coal 440 2.0 Hybrid Gas and Charcoal BBQ it is possible to enjoy both of those options or even to cook simultaneously using each fuel on either half of the cooking surface

The Char-Broil Gas2Coal 2.0 440 Hybrid Gas and Charcoal BBQ is a combination grill which easily converts from being gas powered to being charcoal powered in only three simple to perform steps in less than 60 seconds with no tools being required. Then all that needs to be done is to simply light the lumpwood charcoal or briquettes with the gas burners, with no lighter fluid being required, in one or two of the two included patented charcoal trays ensuring uniform heat and minimising flare-ups.

The patented special design of the two charcoal trays creates air movement which impacts on the charcoal from the top surface to allow the charcoal to burn top down instead of bottom up with the guided airflow reducing flare ups and creating more efficient burning while giving more even heat distribution.

The durable main stainless steel gas burners sit below stainless steel burner tents which diffuse vaporising excess cooking juices so they are recycled back to give food being cooked that distinctive barbecue taste, which is topped with a cooking surface composed of solid porcelain coated cast iron grates, chosen for it's heat retentive properties and proven barbecuing performance, to provide lot's of space to barbecue for friends or family.

A stainless steel side burner that is located in one of the side shelves gives the opportunity to make gravy and create sauces, prepare vegetables or any other foods not suitable for cooking on the barbecue grates. The other side side shelf allows for storage of utensils or any other accessories that need to be kept to hand.

The Char-Broil Gas2Coal 2.0 440 Hybrid Gas and Charcoal BBQ also features a lid-mounted temperature gauge and four castors, two of which lock ensuring easy mobility for storage or to follow the sun around a garden, terrace or patio before using the barbecue.
