The Broil King Baron 490 IR Black Gas BBQ has now been uprated by the upgrading of it's side burner to a higher heat output Infrared Side Burner while retaining all the other the features that make the Baron series an easy to maintain performance package such as the ability to angle the cooking grids to channel excess cooking juices to the grease tray to minimise the likelihood of flare ups..

It's power and performance is provided by the 2864 sq. cm primary cooking surface sitting above 4 powerful stainless steel Dual-Tube burners, plus a Therma-Cast cast aluminum cookbox, reversible heavy-duty cast iron cooking grids, illuminated control knobs, stainless steel Flav-R-Wave cooking system, a 3.1 kW Infrared Side Burner and an electronic ignition plus includes a full rotisserie kit with a 4.4kW rotisserie burner. The Broil King Baron 490 IR Black Gas BBQ also features stainless steel drop-down side shelves along with an enclosed cabinet base that has been designed to accommodate a 13kg Patio Gas bottle.

The Flav-R-Cast Iron Cooking Grids have been designed for greater efficiency with superior heat retention created by their tight spacing and shaping giving fantastic searing power to seal in juices for maximum taste. They feature two easily reversable sides with one pointed side concentrating heat creating perfect sear marks on a steak with the flip side grooved for non stop basting, plus include the ability to angle the cooking grids to channel excess cooking juices to the grease tray to minimise the likelihood of flare ups.
