In spite of the compact name and nature the Weber Compact 47cm still gives a 1735cm cooking area on it's triple-plated cooking grate making it plenty big enough for four adults to happily grill wherever they may be though the shallower bowl, to reduce overall bulk, reduces the indirect cooking options, for roasting or baking on the barbecue, when compared to some other Weber charcoal barbecues such as the Original Kettle, or Master-Touch.

The extremely durable porcelain-enamelled bowl and lid have two weather-proof handles with the lid handles having a protective heat shield to protect the hand lifting the lid from the kettle when checking that state of the food on the grill. The lid also contains rust-proof aluminium lid vents which, along with the rust-proof vent at the base of the bowl, provides the proper air flow for perfect barbecuing.

The easy to clean Weber Compact 47cm has a rust-proof aluminium ash catcher sitting just below the bowl between the three legs ready to catch any ash and embers that fall through the base air vent in use, or during cleaning, helping minimise burn or scorch marks to the surface below the barbecue.

Underneath the rust- proof aluminium ash catcher there is located a useful triangular shaped tray ideal for storing food or utensils that need to be accessed rapidly or frequently when the barbecue is in use at the sides of which are two crack-proof all weather wheels helping to move the Weber Compact 47cm to and from that ideal barbecuing spot.
