Created with pure FSC-certified hardwoods, such as beech, oak, ash and hornbeam, Monolith Virgin Hardwood Lump Charcoal - 8kg Bag is produced in an eco-friendly modern plant using a modern and efficient controlled retort process to extract tar and acid producing an efficient evenly charred, 85 % carbon content, energy-rich charcoal for long burning lumps with an energy value of 31,700 kJ / kg.

Monolith Virgin Hardwood Lump Charcoal - 8kg reaches high temperatures on demand with the charcoal pieces being between 4 – 12 cm in size for the ideal packing density in the fire box or charcoal basket optimising air flow and heat intensity, igniting very quickly and reaching temperatures of 200-250c within 10-15 minutes thanks to the perfect carbonisation.
