Kamado Joe Wood Chunks come in a variety of wood types each imparting their own distinctictive flavours to whatever is being cooked.

The wood used is naturally air-dried which allows the wood to dry in a natural time frame to preserve the natural sugars in the wood imparting a sweeter tastier flavour.

Pecan is good for ribs, chicken or fish and as these chunks are air-dried, which means that the natural sugars are preserved, they give a sweeter, tastier flavour than a kiln-dried chunk
